Customer Reviews:
Eric was very knowledgeable and shared lots of information with me. He really helped me understand what was going on to cause my foot pain and why it had been occurring and what the next steps were as well as realistic timelines and what to expect in terms of treatment. His office was clean and welcoming and the secretary was very nice and helpful as well. The appointment was quick but not rushed and he ensured I had all the information needed to proceed but also to proceed with other avenues outside his clinic. I really felt seen as a patient and not just a dollar sign which hasnβt been the case at other practices even outside of foot care. I will definitely be proceeding with treatment here and recommending to anyone looking for help with their foot pain! Thanks Eric!
Best chiropodist I’ve ever been to. Dr. Docherty is professional, helpful, kind, and trustworthy. He spends the time to examine the cause of any problem, will offer solutions and explanations, and does more than any other chiropodists I’ve been to. He isn’t pushy at all, plus the treatment is affordable and was fully covered by insurance. Highly recommended.

Customer Reviews:
I was dealing with a lot of pain with an ingrown nail when I finally made an appointment. The procedure was very quick and I had relief immediately. I had a follow up today and can happily say my toe is healed, I can walk again, and no infection. Mr.Sekhon was professional, quick, and welcoming and Iβm so grateful to no longer be in pain and for the service. Thank you!
I went to the clinic so my GP so he could treat a wart I have on my foot. He referred me to the foot clinic instead which was confidently down the hall. I am so glad he connected me to the foot clinic because itβs where I am going to get the care I need.
Today was my first session and here are a few things really stood out to me:
1- I didnβt have an appointment but the doctors on site moved things around to accommodate me so I could receive treatment since I was already on site
2- they were very diligent in asking question to understand my concern and did not make assumptions
3- they took the time to treat the wart appropriately and answer all of my question
4- the clinic is clean, bright and they use the latest technology and treatments
I felt well cared for and would highly recommend the clinic. Service and care like
this is hard to come across. Thank you folks!

Customer Reviews:
I had an ingrown toenail, I called to see if they had availability and they managed to give me an appointment the same day. Dr. David received me, explained the procedure, and examined me. It was a pleasant conversation, and he always asked if I was in pain. 100% recommended in all aspects.
This was the best experiance we have had at a foot clinic . Dr David was so good with my daughter, and was able to get her out of pain and on the road to recovery. We could not be happier. He made sure we would be covered if we had any questions after hours, and we booked a follow up. I will not hesitate to go back for any issue. Simply the best service . Thank you

How to Choose the Best Podiatrist in Hamilton
Finding the right foot specialist can make the difference between ongoing discomfort and getting back to your normal activities. Here’s what to look for when choosing a podiatrist in Hamilton.
- β Board certification and specialized training in podiatry
- β Experience treating your specific foot condition
- β Modern diagnostic equipment and treatment options
- β Transparent pricing and insurance acceptance
- β Convenient location and reasonable appointment availability
- β Patient reviews mentioning successful treatment outcomes
- β Clear communication about treatment plans and expectations
Treatment Specializations
Look for podiatrists who have experience with your specific issue, whether it’s diabetes-related foot problems, sports injuries, or chronic conditions like plantar fasciitis. Some clinics also offer specialized services like custom orthotics or minor surgical procedures.
Technology and Equipment
Modern podiatry clinics should have up-to-date diagnostic tools and treatment options. This might include 3D scanning for custom orthotics, laser therapy equipment, or advanced wound care technology for diabetic patients.
Accessibility and Convenience
Consider practical factors like wheelchair accessibility, parking availability, and flexible scheduling. The best clinics make it easy for patients with mobility issues to receive care comfortably.
Communication Style
A good podiatrist should explain your condition clearly, involve you in treatment decisions, and be responsive to your concerns. Look for patient reviews that mention feeling heard and well-informed about their care.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between a podiatrist and a chiropodist?
Both treat foot and ankle problems, but podiatrists have more extensive training and can perform more complex procedures including surgery. Chiropodists focus on routine foot care like nail trimming, callus removal, and basic treatments. Many Hamilton clinics offer both services, so you can start with routine care and get referred for more specialized treatment if needed.
How much do custom orthotics cost in Hamilton?
Custom orthotics in Hamilton typically range from $400-800 depending on the type and complexity. Some clinics now offer 3D-printed orthotics which can be more precise and faster to produce. Check if your insurance covers orthotics β many extended health plans provide partial or full coverage, especially if prescribed for medical conditions like diabetes or plantar fasciitis.
When should I see a podiatrist instead of my family doctor?
See a podiatrist for persistent foot pain that doesn’t improve with rest, recurring ingrown toenails, suspicious skin changes on your feet, or if you have diabetes and need specialized foot care. You should also consider a podiatrist if you’re dealing with sports-related foot injuries, chronic conditions like plantar fasciitis, or if you need custom orthotics. Most Hamilton podiatrists accept direct visits without referrals.
